Thank You!

And that's it! After 17.5 years, Strange Candy has come to an end. I'll probably post a pinup of some sort soon, as it would be awkward for anyone stumbling across this comic to see the last comic first, but this is it for reguar comics! I'm sorry if the ending wasn't very good for you. I did my best.

January 2001 to July 2018! It's hard to believe! It has been a really long time! Almost all of my adult life, really. Once again, I want to thank everyone who was ever involved with the comic. All the writers, AB, Kourin, Xuanwu, the guest artists throughout the years, all the people who have ever sent in fan art, or donated, or posted comments in the comments sections. We have even had some cosplayers over the years, which is mind-boggling! Thank you all for reading and supporting this comic, I really appreciate it! I feel so emotional again! ;_;

Again, I'm on twitter as @MagicalEmi, so follow me there if you want. I'm currently developing my next comic, which at this point I'm thinking will be in scrolling webtoon format. I'm not sure where it will be hosted yet, and it's all STILL just in development, but I guess I'll post here if I manage to get it started. So much has changed in the webcomic world since I started this one, I am playing catchup a bit on what all the current format and hosting options are, and even all the tools I can use to make things with. It's fun to learn more about it all.

End of an Era

Yeah, it's true! As Eri says, Strange Candy is finally coming to an end. It has been a long long road, but now it's finally time to move on. I started this comic in 2001 when I was 26, and now, 17 years later, here I am at 43! woah! I can't believe it. I never imagined it would be such a big project! I have loved working on the comic all these years, and I sincerely want to thank everyone who has worked with me on it! Kourin, Tanzy, Xuanwu, thank you so much!! I also want to thank our readers for sticking with this ancient comic, I am so happy and thankful that people actually read and take the time to read the comic and comment from time to time. Ahh I'm getting teary-eyed here, seriously! How, exactly, do you end a comic?? This is my first webcomic, and I have never actually ended one before!? I didn't want to just cut it off in the middle of a story line, so I made sure our main cast got home, and that everyone else will be where they belong. There will actually be a couple more of months of comics coming as we go through the epilogues to see what becomes of everyone. There are lots of characters, so this may take a while! It was a hard decision to end the comic, but there is another comic I really want to do, and I just can't manage working on 2 comics at once. OO has had a good run, I think! I have had the other comic idea tucked away in my mind for a long time, gathering dust, and I really want to work on it. (I'm still debating between standard comic strip format or a scrolling webtoon format). I just want to branch out and try new things! So I had to make the decision at last. So yeah, this comic will continue for another couple months of epilogues until the end. Then I will take a break to fully devote myself to my new idea and try to make it actually happen. I don't know how long it will take for me to get my new idea into workable shape, or even where I'll host it, but I'll probably update the OO page with the info when I figure it out. Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. Sorry about the lack of update-I actually forgot to get something done during my scramble to travel to see family for the holiday. Oops ^^;; At any rate, I hope everyone has a good day. Tomorrow is Black Friday, but I'm totally hiding indoors away from crowds. I don't think I have the stamina to deal with that, lol. Ok, comic will be back next Thursday! (My birthday is next Friday, the 2nd. It is my year to finally learn the secrets to life, the universe, and everything, so I'm pretty excited!)

13 Years!

Hello! I just thought I'd mention that today is the 13th anniversary of Strange Candy! Woo hoo! We're a teenager now! 13 years of slowly moving non-plot and art that never improves, yay! ^_^ Thank you all for reading!

Japan AGAIN
