May Break

Even though I won't be attending A-kon this year (*sniff*) I still plan to participate in the Art show/auction. This means that this year, as in every year of OO's existence, I will be taking a break from the comic during a few weeks in May so I can finish up my artwork. Aaaannnnddd, as I don't really like leaving the comic just sitting here, I am asking for contributions I can post up during May. Fan art, parodies, or remixes of existing comics would be cool... If anyone actually sends me anything, I will probably post it up here :P Send your submissions to me at magicalemi at aol.com. There isn't really a deadline or anything, so go for it! ^_^

Boxes, boxes, everywhere!

I apologize for the lack of Sunday Comic. I really wanted to finish this one too, but real life ganged up on me today, and I just didn't have time to work on it. I am moving back to California later this year (yay!) and right now we are in the middle of trying to pack up everything we don't need, get it into storage, and pretty up the house so someone might actually buy it. I have been packing boxes and going back and forth to the storage place all day @_@ I am exhausted =_= Almost all of my manga is out of this room now! Wah! (for some reason we think the sight of my Wall o'Manga would scare potential buyers. Bah!)

Thank you so much to the 2 people who contributed to my 'get Emi to AX fund'! It really helped, and I will, in fact, be going to Anime Expo this year! Hurrah! However, in order to do it, it looks like I will need to skip going to A-kon for the first time in 12 years @_@ (man I feel old...) That is pretty painful, but AX is calling to me~. I will still be participating in the A-kon art show as a mail-in artist, so I will still have my yearly May time-of-frantic-art-creation as I try to get ready for that art show. I look forward to going to AX, I haven't been to one in like 4 years or so. Keep an eye out for me, I will be sporting a badge with Ulrich on it :D

CLAMP at Anime Expo!

Waaah! A press release went out today announcing that one of my faaavorite manga groups, CLAMP (authors of X, Card Captor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicle, Magic Knight Rayearth, etc), is going to be a Guest of Honor at Anime Expo in Anaheim this July! Gah, I want to go!! CLAMP almost never makes public appearances, and certainly not in America! But Anaheim is so far away from Texas, and I have no money ;_; Ahgh! Anyone want to contribute to my 'Send Emi to Anime Expo' fund? All you need to do is donate through that paypal link below... I think I have 5 cents so far! Go me! Woo hoo! </pathetic begging>
